Då var jag igång, vägen mot iron man har officiellt börjat! Och vet ni vad? Jag har redan fått ett wake upp-call. När jag funderade på ifall jag skulle anmäla mig till det här spektaklet gick jag med tanken att "Simningen är ju lugn, det är det minsta problemet".

Jag vill gärna tro att jag heller inte är helt talanglös när det gäller simning överlag - i en lugn och trygg simhall där man klart och tydligt ser vad som är på botten och när man inte har en våtdräkt som i princip stryper en. Ni börjar förstå vart jag är på väg antar jag. 

 

Jag och Olivia tog vår super-saab och pep upp till sommarstugan idag, och jag tänkte att "Ja, det finns väl ingen tid att förlora!". På med våtdräkten och bara kasta sig i vattnet helt enkelt. Ett vatten som för det första var lite kyligt, som för det andra inte var direkt stilla, som för det tredje bjöd på obehagligt sjögräs och stora stenar som dök upp som obehagliga överraskningar. Det kändes lite som att gå omkring inne på gasten! Efter några 100 meter var jag helt slut. Det var så inni satans mycket jobbigare än jag trodde! Jag överdriver inte när jag säger att det till och med smakade blod i munnen... Det var med en liten klump i magen jag tog min handduk och mina lite för små tofflor och knallade hemmåt.
Det var ett lite obehagligt uppvaknande som jag dock tror att jag behövde. Men vet ni vad? Jag har två val. Antingen lägger jag mig på rygg och skiter i det och hoppas på att det finns armpuffar och små motorer man fäster på händerna när det väl är dags för race, eller så fortsätter jag att träna.
